Skateshop Roundup 2021 - Slugger

We present to you a yearly roundup not by us but by our friends (competition), yearly roundups can be contentious content at best, a mere list to flog leftover stock or designed to push you the consumers onto a brands website page. This list unlike above is done by our friends/competitors over at some of our favourite skate shops in the UK. 2021 has been another weird year. Read below, agree, disagree and shout at your screen keyboard warrior. 

 

Another Yorkshire stalwart Slugger Skate Store is led by the duo of Martin Kennelly and Louis Slater. Martin was available to answer our roundup whilst Louis shot spray paint cans for the reasons of art and fashion.

Best Shoe of the year?

New balance numeric 440. They make banging shoes and they said if I say that they’d pay for us to go to long beach. 

 

I’m gonna have to say… Dead Dave. Watch him skate live it inspires the true stoke! This year has produced some outrageous UK skateboarding but we gotta back the homie.

Dev Green as you know is the main centre spot in Sheffield and is full of rad local skaters these names spring to mind… The best shop quote?
