Freedom4Girls are a Leeds based charity which works to support those who menstruate by challenging the stigmas, taboos and gender inequalities associated with menstruation. They do this by providing education, providing period products, promoting product choice and supporting environmentally and financially sustainable options.

 

As part of our ongoing support with Freedom4Girls we are producing a zine full of art and experiences from anonymous sources from across Leeds in a bid to breakdown stigmas by having conversations about menstruation. You can get involved by adding to the type-form or attending another zine event coming soon.

 

Now as a building ourselves and Village Books will become a donation space for any sanitary products that you may want to donate to charity! Thanks to everyone who attended and in the meantime scroll below for some photos taken from the day.
