Converse Cons Louie Lopez Pro Available Now
The ongoing stigma of 'grom status' is an unfortunate association for those who come into the spotlight as a youngster. However, after a three year warpath (including scoring the runner up position for Quartersnacks' prestigious 'Skater You'd Best Most OK with Dating Your Daughter Award') Louie Lopez should be considered nothing but one of today's most underrated talents and now boasts a well deserved pro model shoe with Converse Cons.
Taking design cues from Converse's heritage, prominently the tennis-inspired Breakpoint, Louie's pro shoe has narrow silhouette with a short but pointy toe. Coupled with a slimmer-than-usual outsole for Cons (more reminiscent of the brands 70s range) and transplanting the vulcanised tread found on a Chuck Taylor, the model is built for precision foot placement and manoeuvrability.
The shoe's all suede upper features seamless construction in the main areas of wear with decorative stitching on the toe and a blind stitched eye-stay to keep the shoe's laces out of harms way. Converse's chevron and star logo is embroidered onto this panel with Lopez's insignia emblazoned towards the heel in gold.
Finally, the minimally padded tongue is perforated for breathability and is held in place with tongue centring straps for a snug, comfortable fit.
The Louie Lopez Pro is available now in sizes UK7 to UK11, in three colourways, for £60 in-store and online with free shipping or 24 hour delivery for £1.99 (terms apply).
