Vans Syndicate 028. 170 / Harmony Korine

Writer of the influential cult skate classic 'Kids', renowned for chronicling the skate scene in 90's New York - Harmony Korine, has teamed up with Vans for their latest release in the Syndicate line.

The capsule contains a Slip On and Authentic with both featuring a canvas/suede upper with unique chequerboard artwork by Korine himself included on the canvas area  of the shoe. Meanwhile, the sole houses a mixed media print by Korine which is visible through the clear vulcanised classic Waffle grip. Furthermore Vans have utilised a skate able suede toe cap along with signature Vans Syndicate detailing in place of the regular heel tab. Both shoes are due for launch in store this Saturday March 21st and for sale on our online store shortly afterwards. Below are a few closer looks at the detailing of the two upcoming colourways, while at the bottom of this page you can find an interview with him from the last issue of Vans' 'These Days' zine.

One skateboarder we are sure will be rocking this Authentic is Jason Dill. As the last Syndicate release was catered around Dill and Fucking Awesome (and given the link between Korine, Kids, Supreme and Dill - perhaps we're grasping at straws here...) we thought a fitting section to bring you amongst all this shoe rabble is Dill's part from 101 Skateboards 'Snuff'. So without further adieu...
